1. To be able to do a Quick Bill or a Detail bill - you need to create the time entries transactions and post them to WIP first (Time entry screen).

2. Once that is done on the Billing screen you could either use the search bar to look for the client you need to bill or you could use the option to show 'Unbilled WIP - to see the clients with amounts under the Unbilled WIP Column (instead of showing the entire client listing).

3. Select the client - On the Unbilled WIP column or Client ID Column - you will find the arrows that will expand/show the billing menu options for that client. Allowing you to select what type of Bill you want to create.

  • Quick Bill         -     Bill ALL WIP transactions on the same invoice
  • Detail Bill         -     Select the lines of WIP that should be included on the invoice
  • Progress Bill     -     Create an invoice without relieving any lines of WIP

If you choose the Quick Bill option - will Bill ALL the outstanding WIP transactions for that client into one invoice.

  • You could type in the 'Final Bill At' total of the invoice OR you could create a Mark +/-
  • There is a Tax section to double-check if you charge taxes. If not, you could skip that section.
  • Invoice Information - allows you to see the invoice code and number that it will generate; allows you to select the date for the invoice and Invoice template.
  • Once done, clicking on the arrow will take you to the Next screen 'Billing Paragraphs'

The billing paragraph screen will allow you to add a description into your invoice. By clicking on the '+' sign to add new; it will create a line for you to type your description/verbiage. OR you could use any time entry description or Library of Paragraphs if you have them set up already (verbiage/description that you frequently use for your invoices).

Once you add your description you are able to preview the invoice - by clicking on the 'Preview invoice Icon'; that will download the word document/invoice on your computer. Then Click the Arrow - to continue with the next bill.

The Detail Bill option - is similar to the Quick bill - the only difference is that the first screen shows a list of WIP transactions for you to choose from and using the 'Actions Menu' you could do the Final Bill and continue with the process.
